You can reuse the incandescent puddle lights from the front doors in the rear, which would save about £31.Ġ3-ABS Brakes - Status: Malfunction 0010Ġ9-Cent. ![]() You'll need an extra 000 979 009 repair wire to connect the new rear puddle lights to the door module.Ĭars without the lighting pack don't have rear puddle lights so you'll also need to cut a hole in the door card for them. The rear light fibres are: 4G0 919 177A (L Rear), 4G0 919 178A (R Rear) If you want to do the rear doors as well you'll need everything above again, but: If you only want to fit the exterior LEDs and light bar it will cost just under £100 (for the front doors). That lot will cost about £180 from a main dealer. The hardest part is securing the wire inside the door - you can attach it to the door lock cables using cable ties but there's no room to get two hands in so it's fiddly. ![]() This wire is connected to earth and pin 5 on the 6 pin connector in the door module. Undo one grub screw to get the handle off, pull out the blanking plate and fit the LED, then run a wire from behind the handle (avoiding the window runners) through the OEM grommet into the inner door. Note that this was on a standard car - if you've got keyless entry things could be different. Once you know how to take the handles off (Audi's instructions are a hindrance not a help!) fitting the LEDs is quite easy. Is there much involved in doing the exterior leds on the handles? Do you have the price and part numbers for the parts that are needed for those mods? ![]()
